What an awesome year in 3rd Grade! The students have come far and have really grown in their faith, knowledge and their capabilities. (not to mention in height!!!)
We closed the 3rd Grade year with several exciting activities! On Monday we celebrated our Novel Study of James and the Giant Peach by watching the movie on our BIG screen. The students really enjoyed this movie and also enjoyed comparing it with the book.
We held our end of the year 3rd Grade Spelling Bee on Tuesday. The students did awesome!!!! Many found that they are better at writing words than spelling them out in front of the class. We had a blast and the students were such amazing “cheerleaders” for their classmates. Kaylie Spire was our 2nd Runner up, Bryson Kirkland was the runner up and Bailey White was our Champion. Congratulations 3rd Graders!
We walked to Beverly Health Care to visit our Adopted Grandparents in the morning on Wednesday. We had a “Peach Party” in the afternoon at Mrs. Buck’s house, complete with peach sparkling water and peach cobbler. We all gathered around my families peach tree in our yard to party!
Again, it has been a magnificent year for me at St. Gregory’s and I look forward to my second year here!
