Gas prices too high??? You can go anywhere for just a few dollars (or less) by visiting your local library this summer. Check out their Summer Reading Program, (information below), or just stop in often and grab a new book.

At the Maryville Public Library
How the Summer Reading Program 2008 Works
1. Children Pre-Kindergarten and up may register for the Summer Reading Program that begins on June 9 and ends August 1
Don’t miss the awesome party on June 12, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. “Catch the Reading Bug” and witness Amazing Ant-ics and experiments as the Mad Scientist introduces you to “Bugs, Habitats and Hives, Oh My”! There will be lots of fun and refreshments.
You may sign up at the party or any time during June and July.
The library is asking you to help reach a Summer Reading Program goal of 2008 total books to be read by all summer readers.
Sign a contract with the Librarian to decide how many books you plan to read in June and July and you’ll receive a log book to record the titles.
Everyone who reads at least 10 books will be invited to a final party. Prizes will be given out at this celebration.
