SUMMER NEWSLETTER
Dear Parents,
Where did the school year go? We would like to thank all of you for sharing your children with us this year. We have very fond memories of each of them and we hope that they had a great educational experience.
Even though our school year has come to an end, it doesn’t mean that your child’s learning has to. Here are a few activities and ideas to keep your child active and productive:
PREWRITING/ART—Have your child “write” or draw a picture for a classmate or relative and let them send it in the mail.
Have your child practice their simple shapes, name, numbers or alphabet letters using sidewalk chalk.
MATH—Practice simple addition or subtraction using clothespins clipped on the opening of a can or container.
LANGUAGE—Create a photo journal with pictures taken of their favorite summer activities. They can dictate or write simple words or sentences.
SCIENCE—Let them make collections of nature items. They
can display them on a table or in a box to “showoff.”
Please have a safe and enjoyable summer and we will see you back in the fall.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kreps and Mrs. Renshaw
