I hold a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Northwest Missouri State University. This is my 28th year of teaching. I taught 3 years in Pickering--I had first and second grades together in a self contained classroom, with 34 children my first year!! This is my 25th year at St Gregory's.
I love to teach anything that has to do with the outdoors, insects, animals, plants, composting, gardening. I feel that one of the most important things we can do for our children is to teach them to love, appreciate and care for the earth.
I enjoy taking pictures of weather like storms, snow, etc, birds, pets, children and landscapes. We love to go camping in our RV. We love spending time with family and we have three awesome grandsons(no girls yet). I like to eat guacamole and now that Mr. W. likes it, I have to share with him. My favorite snack is apples with peanut butter. Two years ago, I fell in love with the rushing mountain streams and all the natural beauty of the Great Smokie Mountains. Things that I consider soothing to the soul are nature, music and prayer.
