I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Middle School Education from Northwest Missouri State University, with a minor in Math Education 4-8.
I have been teaching at St. Gregory’s since 1995, beginning with two years in Preschool. I have taught sixth grade since 1997. This is actually my 22nd year at St. Gregory’s, as I am an alumni of our school.
My favorite area to teach is math, problem solving, logical thinking, and strategies. Other areas of interest include ancient and American history, as well as Church history.
My husband, a wonderful middle school social studies teacher, lost his battle with metastatic melanoma on Good Friday, 2008. Because of this, I have a desire to educate others about sun safety and prevention/early detection of melanoma.
I have two daughters and a son. I enjoy reading magazines and looking at cookbooks and recipes. My favorite foods are Mexican and pizza. I also am an Independent Sales Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics.
