I attended Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa, where I received my Associate in Arts Degree. I then transferred to NWMSU where I completed three years of courses to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Education and Early Childhood. I completed my student teaching at St. Gregory's School in kindergarten and sixth grade.
I substitute taught for three years while staying home with my children part time. I then taught Kindergarten for one year at North Andrew. I began teaching third grade at St. Gregory's in 2007.
The thing I love most about teaching at St. Gregory's is being able to teach the children about God and the Catholic faith. I also enjoy being able to teach the Christ Skills, incorporating them in everything we do.
My husband and I have three children, one born this October! Our oldest child is a pre-schooler here at St. Gregory's, and our second will attend next year! I enjoy spending time with my family going on walks, boating and wakeboarding, reading, and gardening.
